Latvian information and communications technology (ICT) export increased by 24% in 2015 as compared to 2014, amounting to EUR 361.32 million, informs LETA, according to the Bank of Latvia's data.

The volume of ICT exports has been growing with every passing year, which attests to steady development of the ICT industry, as Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association's President Signe Balina told LETA.

In addition, the ICT export volumes have been growing substantially – 24% last year and 22% in 2014. This proves that Latvian ICT sector and experts are competitive on the international arena, believes Balina.

Compared to 2014, export of computer services and information grew 30% and export of telecommunications services rose 11% last year.

Latvian ICT companies' services are demanded in not just European Union, but also in other countries. For instance, export of computer services and information services to EU countries increased 20% last year, while export to non-EU countries increased 41%.
