The low-cost bus company belonging to the Scottish tycoon Brian Souter, Superbus, on Tuesday launched its Estonian home page and started selling 25,000 bus tickets to the three routes to be launched at the middle of December 2015, informs LETA/BNS.

Superbus is to start operating on the Tallinn-Parnu, Tallinn-Narva and Tallinn-Tartu routes as of Dec. 14. "We put on sale 25,000 tickets for the next three months, the price of which starts from one euro plus a one-euro booking fee," Souter said.

Superbus is to make six trips a day to Tartu, five to Parnu and three to Narva.

According to head of the Superbus Estonian unit Jaan Murk, preparations have been made for a long time and the company has hired 27 employees, including 22 bus drivers.

The CEO of Polskibus, a subsidiary of Superbus, Barry Pybis, told BNS that the company does not see it as taking a market share from the competition. He added that the company's goal is to expand the market by inviting more Estonians to use buses for transport.
