Print versionOne of Latvia's richest athletes – Andris Biedrins, who currently plays in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Golden State ''Warriors'' has been fined LVL 2,000 for tax evasion in Latvia.

Biedrins previously purchased a "Malibu Wakesetter" powerboat in the United States and brought it to Latvia, failing to pay LVL 11,543 in VAT, writes LETA.
He was later charged with tax evasion and was investigated by the State Revenue Service's Finance Police.
