SEB and Eesti Post extend postal bank contract till 2013

Print versionSEB Pank and Eesti Post extended till January 31, 2013 their cooperation agreement on the basis of which the activates of postal banks continue in post offices all over Estonia, Äripäev.ee/LETA reports.

Over 350 post offices offer also SEB’s banking services under the Postipank brand. Most of them are located in rural areas.
SEB retail banking and technology sphere head, board member Riho Unt said that SEB and Eesti Post have offered banking services together of 13 years and although people use electronic banking channels more, SEB considers it very important to make banking services available in small rural areas.
Eesti Pank’s board member Aavo Kärmas said that Eesti Post would like to offer a bigger variety of banking services.
Over 300,000 transactions a year are conducted in the Postipank.
