Lithuanian teachers end their strike

As the Seimas adopted the state budget for 2015 yesterday, Lithuanian teachers decided to end their strike, informs LETA/ELTA.
The United Representation of the Lithuanian Educational Trade Unions decided to end the indefinite strike which began on 2 December because say do not see any purpose to continue it.
"If we continue to see no political will whatsoever to restore the education funding to the pre-crisis level, the trade unions will renew their strike in February and March," the trade unions said in a press release yesterday.
As reported, the Ministry of Education and Science said that 300 teachers from 18 schools in 9 municipalities continued to strike on Thursday.
