On Monday, at the opening event of the project, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius encouraged school students not to be shy and ask questions, share opinions and gain as much knowledge and experience as possible.

"I am pleased to see so many active and socially responsible Lithuanian students, ready to work in top Lithuanian institutions during the last week of summer holidays instead of resting. Today's youth is socially responsible and active – a great replacement for us is developing," said the prime minister.

Students were also greeted by Dainius Pavalkis, Minister of Science and Education, and Justas Pankauskas, Advisor to the Prime Minister.

The participants of the project will have an opportunity to discuss with ministers, meet with public and business leaders, visit institutions under the Government.

Students – to the Government project aims to encourage young people to take interest in the activities of Lithuania's institutions, adopted decisions and be more actively involved in political processes.
