School principal, teacher salaries in Latvia higher come in September

This according to the amendments in regulations on educator salaries prepared by the Education Ministry, informs LETA.
Teachers whose length of service is less than five years will face a pay hike from LVL 245 to LVL 270, those with 10 or more – from LVL 255 to LVL 280.
Raises for principals will depend on their school's enrollment: up to 100 children – plus 45 lats, 1,001 to 1,200 – plus 60 lats, over 2,601 – plus 342 lats.
Salaries will also be increased for vice or assistant principals.
Educators earning the "Quality Level" status #4 or #5 will receive bonuses.
