Teachers' minimum monthly wage is to be raised from the current LVL 245 to LVL 270 on September 1 this year, the Education and Science Ministry's Communication Department informed LETA.

The pending amendments to the regulations on teachers' salaries stipulate that minimum monthly salaries for educational establishments' directors, their deputies and teachers will be raised 10%, and new salary levels will be introduced depending on the number of pupils and students in a given educational institution.
