According to the current law, tuition free studies are only guaranteed for those students whose average mark is not less than eight on a ten point scale, reports ELTA.
The Cabinet believes that all students who fulfill all the requirements for a session, which means they would not have marks lower than five, should not pay tuition fees.
Today the Cabinet Strategy Committee approved these amendments suggested by the Education and Science Minister. They will be discussed again during an unscheduled meeting of the Government on Monday morning.
