Lithuania's education minister resigns

Print versionLithuania's Science and Education Minister Dainius Pavalkis has handed in his resignation letter to Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius, reports LETA/ELTA.

"If I stay in the minister's post, I will not be assessed objectively in the future. The science and education area is facing too many challenges to waste time on public relations campaigns and negative emotions. I do not see any possibilities of continuing what was started, therefore, I have decided to resign," the minister is quoted in the Government's press release.
