Paet spoke with Lavrov about timeframe of border agreement

Print versionEstonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet met with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov during the UN General Assembly meeting in New York on Friday, LETA/Public Broadcasting reported at the weekend.

Paet told the national television ETV in a phone interview that they talked about the following stages of ratifying the border agreement between the two states.
The agreement that was recently approved of by the Russian government, is waiting for approval of Russian president Vladimir Putin now.
Paet said that only after that happens, it can be discussed when and where the border agreement could be signed.
