When travelling to Latvia from Russia and Belarus by private car, the arriving people will have to fill in a registration form and promise to self-isolate for 14 days as of August 1, Health Minister Ilze Vinkele (For Development) told the press today, reported LETA.

The arriving people will also have to share their data with the Border Guard and the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).

As of July 16, the same requirements apply to travelers who arrive from high risk countries, using international transportation services.

The arriving passengers have to fill in a registration form, listing the countries they have visited for the past 14 days, their contact information and the address where they will spend the self-isolation period.

The information on the passengers arriving from high-risk countries is handed to the State Police who then controls self-isolation, while information about other passengers is handed to SPKC who will conduct the necessary epidemiological investigation if needed.
