Chamber of Agriculture to organize special flight to Estonia for Ukrainian workers

BC, Tallinn, 14.07.2020.Print version
The Estonian Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce is to organize a charter flight in the near future to fly Ukrainian workers to Estonia, reported LETA/BNS.

The Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce is to organize a special Tallinn-Kyiv-Tallinn flight before the beginning of August, likely already next week, chairman Roomet Sormus wrote on social media.

Entrepreneurs who are interested in flying a Ukrainian employee to Estonia can fill in the corresponding form until July 15. Agricultural workers are preferred. According to the chairman of the Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce, there are already enough people interested for the flight to take place.

The price of the ticket depends on the occupancy rate of the aircraft, the maximum is 350 euros. If a Ukrainian employee has registered short-term employment for up to 90 days, a visa will not be issued and it will only be possible to get to Estonia by direct flight.

The Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce is also organizing a Tallinn-Kyiv flight and all those interested regardless of field of activity are welcome.

The Estonian government is allowing foreign workers to Estonia from July 6 if the employer is ready to arrange for the employee to be tested for the COVID-19 virus upon arrival in Estonia and again after 14 days. The worker must also be quarantined for 14 days and may not work during that time.

The infection rate in Ukraine is more than 25 people per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, which is why it is not allowed to launch scheduled flights between Ukraine and Estonia.
