Self-isolation not required for people arriving in Latvia from Greece, Finland, Estonia and Norway

Self-isolation will no longer be required for the people arriving in Latvia from Greece, Finland, Estonia and Norway, according to the information published by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC), writes LETA/BNS.

Latvia has changed principles for the self-isolation requirement, stipulating that the self-isolation threshold will now be adapted to Latvia's cumulative 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 population, which now has reached 82.7 cases.

In relation to countries outside the EU and EEA or the UK, self-isolation requirement is not applied to people arriving from Uruguay, Japan, South Korea, Ruanda, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Singapore.

The average Covid-19 incidence in the EU and EEA is 249.8, which means that regular passenger transportation is not allowed to countries with incidence higher than 499.6 cases per 100,000 residents. Thus, regular passenger transportation will be banned from Latvia to Vatican, Andorra, the Czech Republic, Belgium and the Netherlands.
