Estonia's unemployment rate grew to 4.1% in October

The number of registered jobless increased in October 2014 in Estonia and reached 25,785 people, which formed 4.1% of the working-age population, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

In September, 25,242 people were jobless, which formed 4% of the working-age population.

 

Joblessness was highest in Valgamaa (8.2%) and Ida-Virumaa (7.6%) and lowest in Tartumaa (3.2%) and Harjumaa (3%).

 

Unemployment insurance compensation was paid in October to 28% of the jobless and jobless benefits were paid to 22% of the jobless.
