Housing prices increase by 4.1 pct in Q2 in Lithuania

Print versionIn the second quarter of the year 2014, compared to the first quarter, housing prices in Lithuania grew by 4.1%, according to the estimates of Statistics Lithuania, cites LETA/ELTA.
Prices of newly constructed houses saw the highest increase – by 5.9%; among them, prices of apartments in apartment blocks rose by 8.1%, apartments in houses with one or two separate apartments – by 0.5%.

Prices of older construction houses increased by 3.6%; among them, prices of apartments in apartment blocks went up by 3.8%, apartments in houses with one or two separate apartments – by 3%.
In Q2, compared with the same period in 2013, housing prices in Lithuania jumped by 6.5%.
