Inflation in Lithuania predicted at 0.4% in September

Statistics Lithuania predicts that monthly inflation calculated based on the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) will stand at 0.4% in September 2014, compared to August, cites LETA/ELTA.

The annual inflation in August is expected to account for 0%; meanwhile, the average annual inflation is expected to stand at 0.3%.

 

In August, the annual inflation stood at 0.3% and the average annual inflation stood at 0.4%.

 

It is expected that inflation in September will be mostly affected by rising prices of new collection apparel and footwear. Also, it is predicted that prices for food and non-alcoholic beverage, as well as for service of restaurants and hotels may go up. Meanwhile, changes in prices for other products and services will be insignificant and will barely have impact on the dynamics of the HICP.
