Nijolė Grigaravičienė, Statistics Lithuania, 28.08.2014.Print version
Statistics Lithuania informs that construction input prices in July 2014, against June, decreased by 0.9%. The change was mainly influenced by a 3.3% decrease in wages and salaries.

In July 2014, against June, a decrease in hourly labour costs was determined by higher number of work hours, lower lump sums, bonuses and premiums. Prices of building materials and products remained almost unchanged.

As for building materials and products, the largest price drop over the month was observed for concrete and mortar – 0.4, finishing materials – 0.3, insulation materials – 0.2%, while prices for metallic articles grew by 0.3, general building materials, electrical engineering materials, windows and doors, concrete and ferroconcrete – 0.2% each.

As for buildings and structures, the largest price drop over the month was observed for the construction of wastewater pipelines – 1.3, construction of residential buildings – 1.2%. A 1.3% price drop was observed for renovation of buildings.

Over the year (July 2014, against July 2013), construction input prices increased by 1.7%. It was conditioned by a 4.2% increase in wages and salaries, 1.1% – hourly labour costs on operation of construction machines and mechanisms, 0.7% – prices of building materials and products.
