Estonia's unemployment rate falls to 5.1% in April

The number of registered jobless decreased in April 2014 in Estonia and reached 32,662 people, which formed 5.1% of the working-age population, Äripäev.ee/LETA reports.
In March, the number of registered jobless
was 35,423 people, which formed 5.6% of the working-age population.
In April, 4,508 new people
registered as jobless.
Joblessness was highest in
Ida-Virumaa (9.8%) and Valgamaa (9.3%) and lowest in Tartumaa (3.8%) and
Harjumaa (4%).
Unemployment insurance compensation
was paid in April to 29% of the jobless and jobless benefits were paid to 21%
of the jobless.
