Meanwhile, the average gross salary for 2013 in Latvia is predicted at around EUR 714.
In 2012, the average gross salary in Latvia was at EUR 684, in 2011 – EUR 660, but in 2010 – EUR 633.
The ministry's experts also project that employment will increase this year – from 908,100 persons in 2013 to 921,300 in 2014.
The average unemployment level for 2014 is projected at 10.6%, compared to 12.1% in 2013. In 2010, the average unemployment level was at 19.2%.
