Food basket in Estonia becomes 2% more expensive in September y-o-y

The basic food products shopping basket in Estonia, compiled by TNS Emor, became in September by 2% more expensive year-on-year, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

As of September, TNS Emor's basic food products basket cost 68.37 euros per person. As compared to August, the increase was 0.4%.

 

In a year, the price of fresh salmon has increased the most, by 35%, the price of imported apples has increased by 17% and boneless beef by 10%. Chicken and boneless pork price was up 6%, that of butter by 9%.

 

As compared to last year, the price of imported tomatoes fell by 43%, the price of bananas by 18%, that of sugar 13%, long imported cucumbers by 9% and M-sized eggs 8%.
