WEF: Estonia is better than other new EU States in achieving development goals

Print versionThe World Economic Forum survey ranked Estonia above other new European Union Member States in terms of achieving the development goals, writes Postimees Online/LETA.

The survey indicated that the best countries in executing the Lisbon strategy are Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Estonia ranks 12th, right behind Ireland.
In terms of information society and entrepreneurial environment, Estonia ranks 4th among European Union Member States. In comparing sustainable development, Estonia ranks 8th.
Estonia ranks lower in bringing more people to the labour market, application of persons’ skills and modernising social protection – 13th. The country ranks 14th in terms of roads and telecommunication industry.
