Estonia is the 57th healthiest country in the world

Print versionBloomberg compiled a list of the healthiest countries and determined that Estonia ranked 57th in the list, writes LETA/Äripäev.ee. Latvia is ranked 79th and Lithuania 81st.

Estonia remained behind countries such as Syria, Macedonia, Oman and Libya, for example. The healthiest country in the world is Singapore, which is followed by Italy, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, Israel etc. Finland ranked 22nd, Latvia 79th and Lithuania 81st.
The list was compiled on the basis of the life expectancy at moment of birth, child mortality rate, causes of death, the proportion of smokers to the entire population, obesity rate, sedentary lifestyle, excessive cholesterol, high blood pressure, AIDS as well as on the basis of housing and external environment pollution.
