In H1, 18.6% more economic entities registered in Lithuania

Print versionIn the first half of 2012, a total of 6,241 economic entities were registered in Lithuania, or a 18.6% increase year-on-year (5,262 economic entities in H1 of 2011).

The most of the economic entities were registered in Vilnius district, while the least popular district was of Taurage in Western Lithuania, writes LETA/ELTA.
In H1, compared to H1 of 2011, there were 5.1% fewer cases of deregistered economic entities.
The biggest changes were seen in the activities of manufacturing, construction, real estate operations, public administration and defence and compulsory social security, while the situation in the fields of transport and storage, as well as in scientific, technical and other kinds of services has changed least of all.
