Lembergs claims Soros planning takeover in Latvia

Print versionIn a brief Q&A-format LNT TV broadcast this evening starring Ventspils Mayor Aivars Lembergs, paid for by the mayor, the most glaring statement made was that U.S. billionaire George Soros is planning to take over Latvia.

Lembergs claimed that President Valdis Zatlers' move to disband the 10th Saeima was staged and ordered by Soros because the billionaire plans to come to power in Latvia after emergency elections.
The mayor, during the air time, also had an assignment for Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis – indexing of pensions and benefits by October 1, and an immediate plan for the nation's development till 2020, writes LETA.
