24% of Estonian leaders of enterprises are interested in migrant workers

According to a survey commissioned by the Labour Market Board, 24% of leaders of enterprises with more than 20 employees were interested in recruiting migrant workers.

A similar survey carried out in 2005 only brought a result of 14%, writes ETV24/LETA.

 

While in 2005 the most popular potential employees were from Russia and form Finland, this year the most popular country of origin for foreign labour force is Ukraine. Ranking next are Russia, Europe and Finland.

 

Employers are very much satisfied with foreign workers – 57% have been completely satisfied with their decision and 28% stated that they were rather satisfied with it.

 

Turu-uuringute AS polled a thousand managing directors and human resources managers for the purposes of the survey.
