Construction input prices in Lithuania decreased by 13.7% in September y-o-y

In September 2009, against August, wages and salaries and overheads dropped by 1.7%, which had the strongest impact on the overall construction input price change. The overall price change was also influenced by a 0.3% decrease in prices for building materials and products and a 0.2% decrease in hourly labour costs on operation of construction machines and mechanisms.
The change in prices for building materials and products was mostly conditioned by a 1.5% decrease in prices for basic building materials, 0.7% – finishing materials, as well as by a 1.3% increase in prices for pipes, 0.6% – plumbing materials.
Over the year (September 2009, against September 2008), construction input prices decreased by 13.7%.
