BC, Vilnius, 27.02.2020.Print version
Lithuania's monthly inflation rate, as measured by the EU Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), was close to zero in February, according to a preliminary estimate released by the country's statistics office.
The EU-harmonized annual inflation rate for February is estimated at 2.7%.
The factors that had the biggest impact on the annual rate were rising prices foodstuffs and non-alcoholic drinks, transport goods and services, and restaurant and café services, and falling prices for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels.
Last month, Lithuania posted a 0.2% EU-harmonized monthly inflation rate and a 35 12-month inflation rate.
