Lithuania posts EU's highest annual inflation in July

Lithuania registered the EU's highest annual inflation rate for July 2017, figures from the EU statistical office Eurostat showed on Thursday, cites LETA/BNS.
Lithuania's annual inflation rate, as measured by the HICP, last month
reached 4.1%. Latvia and Estonia posted annual inflation rates of 2.6% and 3.9%,
respectively.
Positive annual inflation last month was recorded in all EU member states,
except for Ireland and Cyprus, where prices edged down by 0.2% and 0.1%,
respectively.
Annual inflation stood at 1.3% in the euro area alone and at 1.5% in the
whole of the EU.
