Lithuania leads Baltics in terms of tourism nights in 2016

Print versionHotels and other tourism accommodation establishments in Lithuania last year attracted more guests than those in Latvia and Estonia, figures from the EU statistics office Eurostat showed on Tuesday writes LETA.

The number of nights spent by local and foreign tourists in Lithuania in January through October 2016 rose by 7.3% y-o-y to 7.1 mln.
The total number of tourism nights in Estonia increased by 7.7% to 6.2 mln, while Latvia recorded a 7.3% decline to 4.4 mln.
Across the EU, the total number of nights in the ten month of 2016 went up by 2% to 2.842 bln.
