One-tenth of Lithuanians want to emigrate for good

Almost one-tenth of the Lithuanian population say they would like to leave the country for good and nearly one-third want to emigrate temporarily, according to a poll published by the Delfi.lt news website on Tuesday writes LETA/BNS.
Some 9.6% of the respondents said they would like to leave
Lithuania permanently and 28.9% said they would like to leave, but on a temporary
basis. The remaining 61.5% said they were not thinking about emigration.
Some 20.7% of those who said they wanted to leave saw Norway
as the most attractive country for emigration and 20.2% thought that it was
Britain. Ireland was the third most popular country, at 12.7%.
Further down the list were Sweden (8.7%), Germany (7.6%),
the United States (7.5%), Switzerland (5%) and the Netherlands (4.4%), followed
by Spain, Belgium, Canada, Italy and Russia.
Spinter Tyrimai polled 1,002 people between Oct. 19 and 27.
