Latvia records third highest inflation in EU in October
Like in the Portugal, Hungary and Sweden, Latvian consumer
prices rose 1.1% y-o-y in October. Consumer prices rose 1% in Estonia, and also
in Luxembourg, Slovenia and Germany, while Lithuania showed a 0.7% inflation in
October.
Latvia saw its consumer prices moving up 0.5 % from
September. Lithuania’s monthly inflation was 0.7 % and Estonian consumer prices
dropped 0.5 %.
In 22 EU member states recorded annual inflation in October,
while deflation, was recorded in Bulgaria (-1%), Cyprus (-1%), Ireland (-0.4%),
Croatia (-0.3%), Slovakia (-0.3%), and Italy (-0.1%).
The EU annual inflation rate was 0.5% in October compared to
0.4% in September. Eurozone consumer prices also rose 0.5%.
As compared to the previous month, consumer prices rose 0.2%
in the EU and the eurozone in October.
