Eurostat: Baltic countries post EU's highest q/q house price growth in Q2

The three Baltic countries registered the EU's highest quarterly increases in house prices in the second quarter of 2016, according to the latest figures released by the EU statistics office Eurostat, writes LETA/BNS.
House prices in both Lithuania and Estonia rose by 3.1% in
the second quarter from the first quarter and Latvia posted a 6.6% increase.
In the second quarter year-on-year, house prices went up by
3.4% in Lithuania, by 10.3% in Latvia and by 1.8% in Estonia.
In the EU-28, house prices rose by a quarterly 1.6% and were
up by an annual 4%.
The house price index measures price changes of all
residential properties purchased by households, including flats, detached
houses, etc.
