In Q4, GDP in Latvia remains at the level of previous quarter

In the 4th quarter of 2015, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) (seasonally adjusted data) remained at the level of the 3rd quarter (decrease by 0,01%), according to flash estimate of the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB).

In the 4th quarter of 2015, as compared to the corresponding period of 2014, seasonally adjusted GDP grew by 2.6% while seasonally non-adjusted GDP increased by 3.0%.

 

The GDP changes were affected by 3% growth of value added in industry and 1% increase in the services sector (without retail trade). Value added in retail trade increased by 3%, while in construction decreased by 7%.
