Tallinn has nearly 440,000 residents

Print versionAccording to the data of the Estonian population register, as of 1 November 2015, 439,286 people lived in Estonia's capital Tallinn, an increase of 4,860 people since the start of the year, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

In October, the number of inhabitants grew by 717.
At the beginning of this year, 434,426 people lived in Tallinn.
In 2014, the capital's population grew by 4,527 persons - as of January 1, 2014, 429,899 people lived in Tallinn.
During 2013, however, the number of residents of Tallinn grew by a total of 10,069 persons – at the start of the year 419,830 people lived in the city.
In 2012, the population grew by 3,686 people. In early 2012, 416,144 people lived in the city. Thus, the population of the capital has increased since the beginning of 2012, by 23,142 people.
