In August, construction input prices increased by 0.5% in Lithuania

Statistics Lithuania informs that in August 2015, compared to July, construction input prices increased by 0.5%. The change was mainly influenced by a 1.4% increase in wages and salaries.

Over the month, prices for building materials and products grew by 0.2%. The largest increase in prices was observed for pipes – 0.9%, finishing materials – 0.7%, electrical engineering materials – 0.6%, while decrease – wood products – 0.4%, general building materials and concrete and mortar – 0.2% each.

Hourly costs of the operation of construction machines and mechanisms decreased by just 0.01%.

 

As for buildings and structures, the largest price growth over the month was observed for the construction of wastewater pipelines – 0.9%. Renovation of buildings went up in price by 0.8%.
