Suicide rate down in Latvia in 2014

Federal medical authorities in Latvia report that 365 people committed suicide in 2014, compared to 381 in 2013, cites LETA.

The authorities note here /in comparison/ that during the economic crisis, 483 people in 2009 took their own lives, but in 2008, this number was 500.

 

Of the 2014 suicide victims, four were minors, one even younger than age 15.
