Prices for industrial production sold in Lithuania reduced by 0.5% in June
The overall price change was mainly influenced by a 1.4% decrease in prices for the production of the manufacture of refined petroleum products, 2.6% – electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (7.6% – steam and air conditioning supply, 1.7% – gas, while prices for electricity remained almost unchanged), 0.8% – food products, as well as by a 3% increase in prices for chemicals and chemical products (see Table 2).
Over the month, prices for industrial production sold on the Lithuanian market decreased by 1.5%. The largest decrease in prices was observed for the production of manufacture of refined petroleum products (4.1%) and motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (3.4%), while increase – computer, electronic and optical products (1.8%), chemicals and chemical products (1.3%). As for food products, the largest decrease in prices was observed for prepared meals and dishes (3.2%), processed and preserved meat (2.6%), cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery (2.3%), meat and poultry meat products (1.5%), milk and cheese products (1.1%); yet oils and fats went up in price by 6.9%, bread and fresh pastry goods – 2.1%.
Over the month, prices for products sold on the non-Lithuanian market grew by 0.1%. The increase in prices was observed for the production of waste collection, treatment and disposal activities, materials recovery (7.5%), manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (3.4%), while price drop was observed for the production of other mining and quarrying (5%), other non-metallic mineral products (4.3%). Over the month, prices for industrial production sold on the euro area market decreased by 0.1%, on the non-euro area market – increased by 0.2%.
Over the year (June 2015, against June 2014), prices for the total industrial production sold decreased by 7, refined petroleum products excluded – 2.1%. The overall change in prices was mainly influenced by a decrease in prices for production of manufacture of refined petroleum products (19.1%) and an increase in prices for the production of chemicals and chemical products (13%).
The largest decrease in prices was observed for the production of extraction of crude petroleum (28.5%), while increase – computer, electronic and optical products (8%).

The overall change in prices for industrial production sold is influenced not only by the rate of change in the price of a certain product but also by the relative share (weight) of the industrial production sold within certain economic activity in the total industrial production.
