In May, retail trade turnover decreased by 0.9% in Latvia
Compared to April, the total retail trade turnover at current prices, not taking into account seasonality, in May rose by 3.4%. A year ago – in May 2014, compared to April – turnover increased by 2.2%.

Compared to May 2014, the total retail trade turnover in May 2015 increased by 4.9%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Retail trade in food commodity group decreased by 0.1%. In non-food commodity group there was an increase of 8.5%, of which in retail sale of automotive fuel – of 14.0%.
Total retail trade turnover at current prices rose by 2.0% (not taking into account the calendar influence).

In first five months of 2015, as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, retail trade turnover in total has grown by 6.0%, according to calendar adjusted data. Retail trade in food products grew by 2.6%, retail trade of non-food products – by 8.4%.
