Estonia's unemployment rate falls in April

The number of registered jobless decreased in April 2015 in Estonia, Delfi cites Unemployment Insurance Fund data.

The number of jobless reached 29,195 people at the end of the month, which formed 4.6% of the working-age population, informs LETA.

 

In March, number of jobless reached 30,725 people, which formed 4.9% of the working-age population.

 

Joblessness was highest in April this year in Valgamaa (8.6%) and Ida-Virumaa (9.6%) and lowest in Tartumaa (3.5) and Harjumaa (3.3%).

 

Unemployment insurance compensation was paid in April to 30% of the jobless and jobless benefits were paid to 25% of the jobless.
