In February, construction input prices in Lithuania increased by 0.2%
Over the month, prices for building materials and products decreased by 0.1%. The largest price drop was observed for wood products – by 1.2, pipes – 0.3, insulation materials – 0.2%; an increase in prices was observed for finishing materials – by 0.3, general building materials – 0.2%.
Hourly costs of the operation of construction machines and mechanisms decreased by just 0.03%.
As for buildings and structures, the largest price drop over the month was observed for the construction of administrative buildings and wastewater pipelines – by 0.4% each, residential buildings – by 0.2%. Renovation of buildings went up in price by 0.4%.

Over the year (February 2015, against February 2014), construction input prices increased by 1.7%. It was conditioned by a 5.1% increase in wages and salaries, 0.5% – hourly labour costs of the operation of construction machines and mechanisms, 0.4% – building materials and products.
As for building materials and products, the largest price growth over the year was observed for concrete and reinforced concrete products – by 2%, general building materials and electrical engineering materials – by 1.3% each, plumbing materials – by 0.7%, while prices for finishing materials dropped by 2.4, insulation materials – 2.2%.
As for buildings and structures, the largest price growth over the year was observed for the construction of residential buildings – by 2%. Renovation of buildings went up in price by 2.4%.
