Orlen Lietuva was the biggest taxpayer in Lithuania in 2014

The State Tax Inspectorate (VMI) announced the list of ten companies that paid the most taxes in 2014. Petroleum company AB Orlen Lietuva remained on the top of the list in 2014 as it paid EUR 385 million in tax, informs LETA/ELTA.

It was also placed first in 2013 when it contributed EUR 407 million to the VMI.

 

Petroleum trade and storage company UAB Okseta was second having paid EUR 179 million in tax in 2014. In 2013 it paid EUR 137 million.

 

Tobacco company UAB Philip Morris Baltic paid EUR 169 million and was third on the list.

 

Wine, spirit and tobacco product trade company UAB Mineraliniai Vandenys contributed to the state budget with EUR 143 million.

 

Retail trade company UAB Maxima LT was fifth on the list having paid EUR 111 million. For comparison, it paid EUR 96 million in tax in 2013.

 

Sixth biggest taxpayer in Lithuania in 2014 was UAB Statoil Fuel & Retail Lietuva, it paid EUR 100 million.

 

Gas company AB Lietuvos Dujos paid EUR 78 million and was seventh. Its contribution has decreased significantly – in 2013 it paid EUR 114 million.

 

UAB Lukoil Baltija was eighth, it paid EUR 72 million.

 

Alcoholic beverage manufacturer AB Stumbras was ninth on the list with EUR 56 million paid to the budget.

 

Finally, the top ten list of the biggest tax payers was closed by UAB Bennet Distributors, importer of alcoholic beverages, which paid EUR 53 million in tax.
