"I don’t know that others in the world would have a similar technology,” Kaur Kallas told ETV’s evening news on Monday.
In cooperation with camera producer Silicon Imaging, the brothers produced a 3-kg device that enables to record and play 3D picture at a film set.
Soon the first Estonian 3D movie can be expected. “A few things are in the planning stages and if the Film Foundation sees that this is the future then hopefully this summer or autumn we can see something,” said Kaur Kallas.
Currently James Cameron’s 3D movie "Avatar" has conquered movie halls everywhere. While with “Avatar”, the 3D effect was achieved in the old-fashioned way, by using two parallel cameras, James Cameron might make his next 3D movie with the invention of brothers Kallas. Namely Cameron recently bought one of their cameras.
