Lithuania's NanoAvionics plans to launch new satellite in July

Lithuania's NanoAvionics has obtained funding from various funds for the development of a small satellite propulsion system and will be first in the world to use a propulsion system of this type during the LituanicaSAT-2 mission, LEta BNS informed according the business daily Verslo Zinios.

NanoAvionics CEO Vytenis Buzas says that the company has already signed a contract with the Indian Space Research Organization and plans to launch the new satellite from India in July.


Domantas Brucas, director at the Space Science and Technology Institute, says that costs in the space business have been falling at an increasing rate lately, but developing aerospace engineering products for that market is still very expensive.
