Estonian Starman keen to produce TV series with TV stations

Print versionCommenting on a report that digital television provider Telia is about to start producing TV series of its own, rival telecommunications provider Starman in Estonia said it has no plan to start producing content but is interested in working closely on it with some existing television station, informs LETA/BNS.

"Should projects like this be tabled, we are always ready for cooperation," Starman spokesperson Kristi Reiland told BNS. She said the company has discussed this with potential partners but nothing has been agreed upon.
Karl Anton, head of TV and multimedia services at Telia Eesti, said on Wednesday the company is giving consideration to a plan to start producing TV series to be able to offer its customers unique content in the future.
"It's content alone that keeps people with you, Netflix and Amazon are investing big amounts of money to offer it to viewers," Anton said.
