Estonia's most sought after employer for students is Skype

According to the poll by employer reputation agency Instar among Estonian students, Skype is the most valued employer for them, followed by Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskus (State Forest Management Centre) and Eesti Energia, LETA/Delfi reports.

Among students who participated in the study, 29% would prefer to work in the public sector, 53% in the private sector and 2% in the third sector. 16% wish to become entrepreneurs and be their own employer.

 

Among the students that responded, 62% worked while studying; 34% have worked in the field they were not studying; 23% have worked in the field they study and 27% have been in traineeship in their field of studies. 15% have done volunteer work.

 

The average net wage expectation of students was 1,217 euros a month while the net wage expectation of the majority was in the range of 900-1,199 euros (33%).

 

1,000 students from 12 Estonian universities were polled in April 2015.
