BC, Vilnius, 25.02.2020.Print version
Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has asked people to refrain from trips to the Tenerife city of Adeje due to the threat of the new coronavirus, informed LETA/BNS.
The H10 Costa Adeje Palace hotel in this city was on Monday locked down and quarantined.
"Our nationals are being asked to refrain from trips to the city of Adeje and its surroundings on the southern part of the island of Tenerife in the nearest future," the ministry said on Tuesday.
The Lithuanian Embassy in Madrid is now looking into whether there are Lithuanians staying at this hotel.
Over 80,000 coronavirus cases have been confirmed so far across the world, and 2,700 people have died.
Around 1,000 people are quarantined at the Tenerife hotel because of a man who arrived in Tenerife from the Italian region of Lombardy.
