Lithuania's LG Cargo to transport 30 mln tons of Achema Grupe's cargoes

LG Cargo, the cargo transportation subsidiary of the state-owned railway company Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways), plans to carry around 30 mln tons of cargoes of Achemos Grupe (Achema Group) operating a fertilizer plant, trade companies, the largest handling company in the port of Klaipeda and other businesses, over the next three years, LG said.

The relates contract was signed on Monday and will come into force in January.


LG Cargo has transported cargoes for the group's businesses so far but that's been done under separate contracts with the group's enterprises.


LG Cargo will provide services to Achema, Transachema, Agrochema, Agrochema Plius as well as the Klaipeda-based port companies, including Kroviniu Terminalas, Centrinis Klaipedos Terminalas and Klaipedos Juru Lrovinii Kkompanija (Klasco).
