2020's 1st shipment of Novatek LNG arrives in Lithuania's Klaipeda

small shipment of LNG from Russian gas company Novatek arrived in the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda on Saturday. It's the first LNG cargo from this company this year and the 14th since the new gas year started in October informed LETA/BNS.

The shipment is likely meant for Lithuanian fertilizer producer Achema.


Based on data from marinetraffic.com, myshiptracking.com and vesselfinder.com, the Coral Favia LNG tanker docked at the FSRU Independence in Klaipeda late on Saturday, arriving from Vysotsk where Novatek has a LNG production facility.


Klaipedos Nafta, the operator of the LNG terminal in Lithuania, told the Coral Favia brought 9,500 cubic meters of LNG.


Lithuania's Klaipeda on Tuesday received its first LNG cargo this year.


The Arctic Voyager docked at the FSRU Independence in Klaipeda, having arrived from Norway's Melkoya port where Equinor has a LNG production facility. It delivered around 138,000 cubic meters of gas.
