Latvian National Defense Academy launches international course for navy officers

The Latvian National Defense Academy today launched an international course for middle-rank command and staff navy officers, the Latvian Defense Ministry said LETA.

The official opening ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Latvian Navy Flotilla, Admiral Ingus Vizulis; the Rector of the Latvian National Defense Academy, Lieutenant Colonel Georgs Kerlins; the members of the faculty and other guests, including military attaches from Norway, Sweden and Poland.


Eight trainees from three Baltic states - two officers from Estonia, two officers from Latvia and four officers from Lithuania - have entered the course organized annually by the Latvian National Defense Academy since 2007.
